Bentonville Battleground State Historic Site

Cliffs of the Neuse State Park
Witness the effects of the forces of erosion that have carved and chiseled the cliffs in the south bank of the Neuse River. Extending 600 yards, this spectacular series of cliffs rises 90 feet above the water. Layers of sand, clay, seashells, shale and gravel form the multi-colored cliff face. Wayne County Museum
