Found in western North Carolina, Boone is a small town located within the Blue Ridge Mountains. The seat of Watauga County, Boone is easily accessed from Highway 421. Boone was named after the famous American explorer Daniel Boone, and is the home to the Appalachian State University Mountaineers.
